This necklace, crafted by student artist Carmen Smith, is made of hand-hammered sterling silver and hundreds of naturally colored freshwater pearls. It will be on sale at the CCAD Art Fair for $300.

Whether you’re an art collector or holiday gift shopper, the Columbus College of Art & Design Art Fair has you covered. There, roughly 125 artists—all CCAD students, faculty and alumni—will peddle creations from paintings to jewelry. Among them will be Carmen Smith, a student who crafted the necklace shown here. “It’s just really cool to see what everyone’s doing,” Smith says. “It’s fascinating to meet the artists.”

The CCAD Art Fair is Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Loann Crane Center for Design. Admission is $50 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and $5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission proceeds benefit the student scholarship fund. Sale proceeds go directly to the artists.
