Meet Holly Rickleman

Age: 43
Neighborhood: Westerville
Family: Daughter Payton (9) and twin sons Brody and Wyatt (7)

Her story

Holly, a single mom, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in April 2012. After undergoing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, Holly is looking to re-enter the work force. Before having children, Holly was a nail technician and loved working with people in the industry. And after finally regaining her strength and recovering from cancer treatments, the makeover helped Holly feel like her old self. “It revived things,” she says. “It reminds me of the woman I was when I could spoil myself and make myself pretty.”

Hair at J.Bentley

Master Artist LeAnn Klein removed some of the bulk from the back of Holly’s locks to create more movement, and enhanced her natural color with a brighter red.

Skin Treatments at Sullivan Centre

To tighten and lift Holly’s skin, she received Ulthera treatments and used a regimen of ZO skincare products.

Makeup at Mukha

Tim Maurer, owner of Mukha Cosmetics and Medi-Spa, created a smoky eye to complement Holly’s hair. His advice? Don’t put dark colors in the inner corner of the eye,” he says. “Keep it light.

Clothing from Boho 72

Owner Jamie Mollwitz explained that since Holly has broad shoulders, the focus should be on her legs. A long, flowing top ($52) and black leggings ($21) did the trick.

Spa Treatments at Woodhouse Day Spa

Holly was pampered with the Seasonal Bath Ritual at Woodhouse, and her fingers and toes were treated to the spa’s Signature Manicure and Seasonal Pedicure.

Accessories from Audacious Boutique

Holly enhanced her black ensemble with the help of silver accessories, including a watch ($25), ring ($15) and earrings ($12). The bag ($75) holds her everyday essentials.
