The dining room might seem like an unlikely place to display a collection of roe deer skulls. When Marie first told Dan about the idea, he was skeptical. "She does this thing where she'll pick a piece in isolation and say, 'What do you think of this?' and I can't see it. But then... it all sort of works." The skulls came from Germany and were purchased on eBay from a man who didn't speak English. "Luckily," Marie noted, "Dan knows German!" The cowhide rug was another eBay find. Marie purchased the trio of glass wine spheres at Found in Powell. "I've got a thing for lighting, as you'll see throughout the house," she said. Hanging those particular lights from the ceiling was a chore for the electricians, though. "They are very heavy," Marie said. "Every time I'd go, 'Oh, look what I got! Can you install this?' they were not happy with me."
